State of the state of WI - Feb 3, 2009

So Mike McCarthy announces that Aaron Kampmann is going to be the outside linebacker in the new 3-4.  I think this is an exciting move that will not only add to his sack totals, but is going to make that defense hard to handle if Barnett can come back, and Hawk can start being utilized as he was drafted to be..... stay tuned - we'll know more once the spring workouts come.

Marquette is loeading the Big East, and is undefeated in conference play.  Wouldnt it be nice to have that Dayton loss back?  And Tenessee?  two games Marquette should haave had.  I'm seeing a 3 seed or 4 seed - it seems the NCAA committee takes the last 10 games into far too much consideration when seeding.  Think back to WI when they were #1 mid feb and ended up a 2 seed.  Things change fast.  And kudos to Darrin Horn at South Carolina, another Crean assistant doing very well.

Bucks center bogut out for year - ouch!  Him and Redd out together is not going to help a difficult situation.  Chances of another lottery year are looking very likey.

We'll start thinking about the Brewers soon enough, but i'm glad to see Weeks came to a one year agreement.  Plan on hiim having the obvious break out year, driving his price sky high....
